Daimler Buses Mannheim Plant: Baden-Württemberg’s Minister of Transport gains insights into E-City Buses

Winfried Hermann, Minister of Transport for the state of Baden-Württemberg, today visited the Daimler Buses plant in Mannheim. During a guided production tour and a ride on the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G city bus, Hermann gained in-depth insights into the latest developments in modern city buses with alternative drive systems.

At the fair “Forum Entreprises Défense”, held in Paris on October 8 and 9, 2025, Arquus unveils the Zetros by Arquus, the result of an unprecedented partnership with Daimler Truck. This new military truck, designed for the most demanding environments, combines the robustness of Daimler Truck’s permanent 6x6 Mercedes-Benz Zetros chassis with Arquus’ expertise in militarization and systems integration.

Daimler Truck unit sales in Q3: 98,009 units

Daimler Truck Group sold 98,009 trucks and buses in the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2024: 114,917). The Trucks North America segment accounted for 30,225 units (Q3 2024: 49,346). Mercedes-Benz Trucks increased its unit sales to 39,290 units compared to the prior year (Q3 2024: 36,415). The segment Trucks Asia reported unit sales of 25,515 (Q3 2024: 27,721). Daimler Buses recorded unit sales of 6,443 units (Q3 2024: 6,698). Sales of battery electric vehicles increased to 1,833 units (Q3 2024: 666).

Daimler Buses celebrates world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro at Busworld Europe

World premiere at the Busworld Europe 2025 trade fair in Brussels: Last Friday, Daimler Buses presented the series-production version of the Mercedes Benz eIntouro for the first time. The eIntouro is the first battery electric intercity bus from Daimler Buses.
